Chapter 2 ~ Holy Willow
Sunday, December 25, 2011

“No can do my little nightingale. You belong to me now. Everything you do, you must get my consent first,” he said, kissing my forehead.
“Let go of me!!” I shouted, struggling to break free.
“It’s no use. I’m a guy afterall, I’d naturally be stronger than you,” he said, flapping his enormous wings.
“You.. You’re a Fallen Angel..?” I stuttered, shocked at the sight of his wings.
“Not just any Fallen Angel. I’m what people used to call, ‘God’s Right Hand Man’,” he said with a really annoying smile.
“You.. Could you be.. Krist Ray..? God’s Right Hand Man which went against God..?” I asked in extreme shock, not knowing what I’ve landed myself in.
“Finally you realize it.. Sure takes you forever huh. I’d prefer you call me Kyle though,” he said, landing on the floor.
“Wh… But… Why did..? I mean..?” I stuttered, too shock to think that I’m in the hands of the only guy in the entire of Cravens who’d dare to go against God.
“Chill.. Don’t need to be so shocked…” he said, folding his wings in.
“Oh Cravens..” I said, pulling my face downwards.
“Why? It’s not like I’ll kill you or anything right?” Kyle said, putting me on the floor.
“But.. But..! You’re the only one in the entire of Cravens who dared go against god?! Why did you do such a stupid thing?!” I asked, wanting to know the reason.
“You’ll know when the time is right,” he said as he put me down, “Get ready. Wear the dress I’ve prepared for you in the room and I’ll come pick you up at 6 later on.”
“Where are we going?” I asked.
“You’ll know when I bring you there,” he said and walked off to the left.
Just when I was about to head back to my room, I realized something.. I had no idea where my room was and which direction to take. Left, right or straight down? There were three corridors but I had no idea which was the one I took because all three looked exactly the same. I then decided that standing there wasn’t gonna be any better so I took the left route, the one Kyle took earlier on. This particular corridor had no doors no nothing whereas the route I took had a door every two to three meters.
That was when I came to the end of the corridor but it was a dead end with just a picture of a beautiful woman hung up on the wall. The woman had long beautiful violet hair and chrome-like eyes with smooth, fair skin. She looked awful lot familiar but I couldn’t think of where I’ve seen her before and I unconsciously touched the picture. Before I knew it, the entire picture turned black and the candle next to it lit up with a flame, opening a passageway on the right wall. It was a dark and eerie one and I wasn’t so sure if I wanted to go in but since I’ve made it this far, I might as well go. And Kyle said that there was no one else other than him living in here anyway so it should be fine.
I entered the tunnel that was coated in ink black and enveloped with silence. I kept walking and walking, not daring to light up a fireball, worried of what may happen if I did.
“Who goes there?” I heard a voice that was definitely not Kyle’s, causing me to unintentionally light up a fireball as part of my natural instinct. I saw a willow tree with a really thick trunk and an old face on it.
“Erm..  I’m Sapphira Marisela. The Legendary Nightingale,” I said although I wasn’t too sure of who I was talking to. Suddenly, the patterns on the trunk started to move and two eyes popped out all of a sudden.
“And to what may the Legendary Nightingale acquire from an old willow tree like me?” he asked.
“Er.. No.. It’s just that.. I kind of got lost in this mansion and yeah.. Somehow wounded up here.. I’m sorry. I didn’t notice there was someone around other than Kyle and I,” I apologized.
“Ah.. Kyle. Also known as Krist Ray. It’s been ages since I heard of that guy,” the old willow tree said.
“But.. Don’t you live under the same roof as him..? How can it be ages since you heard of him..?” I asked, bewildered.
“We may live under the same roof but for those whose heart has been covered in darkness, they can no longer see the Holy Willow,” he said.
“Wait.. So you mean Kyle doesn’t know you’re here and YOU are the Holy Willow?!” I said, rather shock that the famous Holy Willow turned out to be freeloading in Kyle’s house, the first creature to ever go against god.
“He knows that I’m here but he can no longer see me since the day he was a fallen angel. That’s why he locked me up in here, so as to make sure he doesn’t be reminded of god anymore. And I guess as time passes by. He just forgets about me,” the old willow said.
“Wait wait wait. So you mean. Before he turned into a fallen angel, he could still see you and you hadn’t lived in this dark creepy hole yet. Then when he went against god and darkness took over him, he could no longer see you and at the same time, he didn’t want to be reminded of god that’s why he locked you up in this place and after that he gradually forgot about you?!” I shouted, furious.
“Chill man little girl. Why are you getting so worked up?” the old willow asked, perfectly calm.
“I just feel so… ARGH!! How can that heartless guy actually do this to you?!” I shouted.
“It’s alright. I’m used to it. But I still believe that he’ll change back one day.. It just isn’t time yet,” the Holy Willow said and yawned, “Well, it’s about time I get some sleep. Run along now little one.”
“Ah! Wait! Holy Tree?!” I said but before I knew it, the tree was snoring away.

What a weird tree.. I thought as I walked back out to the dim-lit corridor.
“Where did you go?” I heard Kyle’s voice behind me as I looked at the picture of the beautiful woman.
“I..” Kyle then interrupted, “Doesn’t matter. Hurry up go change into the dress I’ve prepared for you or we’re gonna be late.”
“Late?? Late for what?” I asked.
“You’ll know when you reach there. Now let’s get you back to your room,” he said.
“Whoa- Hey watch it! My hair!” I said as he lifted me up in his arms and got my hair all messed up.
“Quit fussing ‘bout your hair,” he said, walking down the corridor as I lean my head against his chest.
“We’re here, now hurry up and change while I wait outside,” Kyle said, throwing me in as he swung open the humungous door.
“What’s your problem?!” I shouted as he slammed the door shut.
“What the hell is his problem!! Throwing people around the house! And what’s this dress he wants me to wear anyway?!” I threw a tantrum round the room when I saw a beautifully wrapped gifet box lying on my bed.
I opened it, only to see a mini white, lacey dress with two long shimmering, white ribbons placed at the side.
He is NOT gonna make me wear this right?! I thought.
“Hey Sapphira! What’s taking you so long?!” Kyle banged open the door just when I only had my undergarments on.
“Yo.. WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU’RE DOING YOU PERVETED FALLEN ANGEL?!” I shouted in rage, throwing a fireball straight into his face.
“Hey stupid nightingale! Who said you could throw a fireball in my face?!” he shouted back.
“That doesn’t matter! It was on impulse now get out of the… ROOOOOOOOM!” I shouted.
“Alright alright chill,” he said and made his way out.
“Geez that idiot!!” I shouted, already reaching my limit.
I then slipped on the white lacy dress and twirled the two white ribbons along with my golden hair.
“I’m done,” I said as I opened the door, only to see Kyle dressed in a formal, white tux.
“Wha- What’s with the getup?!” I asked, taken over by curiosity.
“We’re gonna attend a ball right about now,” he said as he carried me in his arms.
“HUH? A BALL?” I said in shock, not believing what I just heard.
“Hold on tight if you don’t want to be sent to the hospital,” he said, his huge, silverish-blue wings grew on his back and before I knew it, we were soaring in the starry night sky.

Chapter 1 ~ Kyle Edwin
Saturday, December 24, 2011

Cravens was the world where mythical creatures such as Fallen Angels, Demons, Vampires and Legendary animals live in.

I was a lost bird, a lost and lonely bird which wondered down the streets of Avestrain in the middle of a full moon night. It was one in the morning. All I could hear was the soft howl of the wind that brushed lightly against my golden feathers. I flapped my injured wing miserably as I sought shelter for the night. It was dark and cold, the only things visible around were the beautifully lighted lampposts that sleep in the morning and works in the night. I couldn’t move on… My injury was stopping me, my heart told me to move, my mind has gone blank. All of a sudden, everything went dark… Even the dimmest lights from the fireflies that fluttered by…

The next morning, I found myself sleeping on a humungous bed in a very grandeur-decorated room. I was back to my normal human form when I realized that my arm had been bandaged. Who on earth would bother to help me..? I wondered as I got off the bed and walked towards the nine-foot long golden door. I opened the door and popped my head out, turning it left and right. Not a single living form could be found. I took a step out of the room and froze momentarily upon hearing a deep low voice from the right, “Looks like the injured Nightingale is back to normal.” I instantly turned to look and saw a tall man; he was tall and handsome, with silver hair and azure blue eyes that looked just like a Fallen Angel from heaven.

“Who are you?” I asked rudely, glaring straight into his eyes.
“Is that how you thank a person who rescued you from dying?” he said, smiling.
“Like I care whether you saved me or not. In the end, everyone of you humans just save me because you think I’m a Nightingale and when I turned back to human during the say, you guys just kick me out of the house. Now may I know who you are?!” I snapped.
“I’m Kyle Edwin, nice to meet you,” he said as he reached his hand out for a handshake.
“I’m not interested in being your friend. Just tell me how to get out of this place and back to Eirolastin,” I retorted at him.
“My my. Whatever happened to the myth whereby the Legendary Nightingale was a graceful and elegant golden bird I wonder?” Kyle said, still smiling away.
His smile irritates me… I thought and said, “You must have gotten the wrong person. I’m no legendary nightingale. Just a normal nightingale which transforms into human during day time. Now can you tell me how to go back to Eirolastin?!”
“Then how do you explain the sign on your ankle?” Kyle asked, pointing towards my left ankle where there was a golden star sign imprinted there.
“Where’s the ribbon?” I lowered my volume.
“Right here,” he said as he took a pink shimmering ribbon out of his pocket.
“Give it back!” I shouted, shooting a fireball at him. He dodged it and said, “Oh. So now we are resorting to physical violence eh? Interesting.”
“I said give it b-!” I stopped when his lips were suddenly on mine. It was a kiss that took my breath away, a soft and gentle yet rough and forceful one.
“Le..! Let go of me!” I shouted when I managed to finally push him away, “What on Cravens are you doing?!”
“Hmmm… isn’t that what we call a kiss?” Kyle said with a really sweet smile that I couldn’t stop admiring.
“That’s what you do with the person you love! Not with someone you just met! What you’ve just done was considered RAPING!!” I yelled, shocked by the kiss.
“Isn’t raping a little too extreme? It’s just a soft kiss on the lips. Not like I’m interested in your body or anything. Your body shape isn’t the least bit interesting, just so you know,” he said, smiling once again as he passed the ribbon back to me.
“WHAT?! YOURS ISN’T ANY BETTER YOU KNOW?!” I bellowed at him and took the ribbon before stomping away.
“Where are you going? And I still don’t know your name yet,” he said.
“There’s NO WAY I’m giving my name to retarded people like you!! I’m going someplace where I’ll never see you again!!” I bawled and ran down the super long hallway.

What on Cravens is wrong with that guy?! I thought as I slowed my pace down, now that I think of it… Where’s the way out of this mansion..? I walked around the mansion for the next two hours or so, turning either left or right on every turn but ended up in the same place where I started. Pissed, I shouted out, “Stupid Kyle don’t know what Edward guy! Get me out of this bloody mansion!!”
“Haha. Looks like even the Legendary Nightingale gets lost in a big mansion like this,” I heard his giggles from behind me.
“Just tell me how to get out of here!!” I shouted.
“Tell me your name first and I’ll consider telling you how to go to the exit,” he said with that sweet smile of his again.
Why must he smile all the time?! I thought and said, “Fine. I’m Sapphira Marisela. And YES. I’m the Legendary Nightingale. NOW TELL ME THE WAY OUT OF THIS HELL HOLE!”
“Oh my. What a rude nightingale indeed,” he said, walking towards me.
“Shut up. Now that I’ve given you my name, hurry tell me the exit of this mansion,” I said calmly, trying not to waste my breath on a guy like him as I looked down onto the floor.
“No way. Not after I have laid my hands on a precious bird like you,” he said, using his fingers to lift my head up, making sure our eyes could make contact.
“What do you intend to do with me?” I asked, looking straight into his eyes.
“Hmmm. Marry me,” he said in a calm and straightforward tone.
“HUH?” I said bluntly.
“I said marry me,” he repeated, smiling once again.
“WHAT? Why should I do something like that? I’m not possessed by you you know?” I said, slapping his hand away.
“But you will be. It’s just a matter of time to come,” he said, his fingers running along my long, golden hair.
“Don’t touch my hair, they are my feathers,” I said, grabbing his hand.
“I’ve decided. The wedding will be held in a week’s time. Be sure to get ready. Everything’s just getting started my little bird,” he said to me with that smile of his before walking away.
What..! What’s wrong with that guy!! Is he mentally retarded or what?! I thought, frustrated by his attitude and the way he does things.

Anyways, how the hell do you get out of this place?! It’s like a freakin’ dungeon! All there is are doors and doors and more doors! They don’t even have windows!! I walked down the long corridor, only to see a huge door beautifully carved out of metal at the end. Lightly, I pushed it open only to see a marble fountain and plants all over with coloured glass as the rooftop.
“Uwahh!” it just came out of my mouth as I was completely astounded by the area.
“And I wonder what the nightingale may want in my garden,” I heard his irritating voice once again.
“This is YOUR garden?” I asked, not wanting to believe the fact that he is able to tender this garden so well with that attitude of his.
“Well, no one else other than me and you live here rite? So naturally I’d be the one to tender the garden. Don’t you have common sense?” he said sarcastically.
“Well, sorry that I don’t have any common sense. Go find a better marriage partner if that’s the case,” I said, snapping back at him as my golden hair grew longer, connecting with a pair golden wings that grew on my back.
“And just where do you think you’re going?” he asked with that irritating smile of his.
“Out of this mansion? Duhh. Who the hell would want to stay in a place like this?” I replied his retarded question and started to flap my wings, heading towards the rooftop.

I couldn’t wait. To hurry up get out of this mansion. I could finally see the light of the sun. Hurry Sapphira. Hurry before it’s too late. But before I knew it, Kyle suddenly appeared in front of me with huge, silverish-blue, feathery wings and managed to catch me before I clashed into the glass.
